Our Facilities
We are located at 6414 South County Road 300E on the Owen-Clay County line, 3 1/2 miles east and 1 mile north of Clay City off State Road 246E. Our sanctuary was dedicated in 1985. Our previous sanctuary has been remodeled into a fellowship hall which includes classrooms and kitchen facilities.
In 1980 many hours of labor were donated by members and friends of the congregation to build the parsonage which was dedicated in 1981.
There is a shelter house in the beautiful wooded area across from the church where our annual picnic and many family reunions are held.
St. Peter’s cemetery is on the Owen County side of the road. It is governed by the Cemetery board which consists of three members who are in office for three years. The senior member of the board serves as superintendent and is the point of contact for information concerning the cemetery. The board has responsibility for the care of the cemetery, keeping the plot book current and managing the endowment fund.
